Taco Seasoning
Growing up mom used to make our own taco seasoning. I never understood why, but now I find that I am making my own taco seasoning as well. There are a couple of reasons I do this:
1). It is cheaper
2). I don’t always have the taco seasoning packets on hand but I usually have the spices on hand to make the seasoning.
I have changed the recipe a bit from the one my mom used and I usually double it so I always have some on hand. Enjoy!
Taco Seasoning
1 tbsp. Chili Powder
1/2 tsp. Garlic Powder
2 tsp. Onion Flakes
1/2 tsp. Crushed Red Pepper Flakes
1/2 tsp. Dried Oregano
1/2 tsp. Paprika
1 1/2 tsp. Ground Cumin
1 tsp. Sea Salt
1 Â tsp. Black Pepper
Mix everything together. Use 1-2 tbsp. per pound of meat depending on how strong of a flavor you want.
